THE University of Southern Queensland’s Student Guild is helping the not for profit sector help itself this week.

For local sports clubs volunteers to board members of large charities and not for profit organisations, the USQ Student Guild’s inaugural For Purpose Conference is an event not to be missed, a guild spokesman said.

Building a connected and supported Not for Profit (NFP) Sector within south-east Queensland is key to ongoing success and development within the region.

The USQ Student Guild is a strong believer that through opportunities of training and development, the NFP sector within the south east will be a thriving and ever-growing aspect of our community.

It is for this reason that the USQ Student Guild is proud to be hosting the Inaugural For Purpose Conference on Friday, September 22, proudly sponsored by the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Bringing together experts from a variety of fields that will be providing practical and real-world solutions and knowledge, the conference is designed to provide delegates an opportunity to collect and build the tools they need to promote long-term growth and sustainability within the sector; and to assist with ongoing skill development, ensuring a continued understanding of the environment which the sector operates in.

The conference starts at 8.30am on Friday, September 22, at the Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre, opposite USQ.

Tickets are $89 per person and available here.
