General Questions
Is there a membership fee to join the UniSQ Student Guild?
No! All UniSQ students are automatic members of the UniSQ Student Guild, enjoying access to exclusive benefits and opportunities to improve your student journey. You can learn more about our services here.
Advocacy Support
How does the UniSQ Student Guild Advocate for Students?
Our office does advocacy a little bit differently. Our focus is on helping to equip and empower you to advocate on your own behalf. The Advocacy Officers, will not write responses nor will we submit a response on a student’s behalf.
We will provide you with the knowledge of the University’s policies and procedures, guide you through the process relevant to your situation, assist you in drafting a response, and prepare you for and attend meetings. You can find out more about Advocacy here
How much does it cost to use the Advocacy Service?
Nothing! There is no fee. All UniSQ students can get free support from the Advocacy Office. You can learn more about our Advocacy Assistance here
Can the University access any information I share with the Advocacy Office?
No, as the Student Guild and UniSQ are separate organisations, we cannot access client information from each other. The Advocacy Office endeavours to keep your information confidential and private. Anything you share with us does not leave our office.
You can learn more about our Advocacy Assistance here
Does the Advocacy Office provide Legal Advice?
No, we only provide advice and assistance on matters as they relate to UniSQ Policy and Procedure. You can learn more about how we can help here
Can I book on campus appointments with the Advocacy Officers?
